FINDLAY, Ohio - Junior Dana Skytta cleared a school record 6-6 in the men's high jump to finish third at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at the University of Findlay. The LSSU men's and women's teams compiled 17 top-10 individual finishes, including 13 during the final day of competition. Both teams finished eighth in the team standings, while Grand Valley State claimed the men's and women's team titles. Sophomore Paul Davis placed fourth in the men's 200-meter dash (:22.50) and seventh in the 55-meter dash (:06.73) for the LSSU men's team. Ninth-place finishes went to Kevin Macomber in the mile (4:24.94) and Ben Tarbutton in the 3,000-meter run (8:54.83). Evan Williams was 10th in the men's 800-meter run (2:00.06). Rick Koon was fifth (6-4) and John Preczewski 10th (6-2) in the high jump. The LSSU 4x400-meter relay finished sixth. Sophomore Katie Scott led the LSSU women's team on Saturday with a seventh-place finish in the 3,000-meter run (10:29.37) and an eighth-place finish in the mile (5:20.48). Ashley Quick was ninth in the 3K with a time of 10:44.74. Taylor Patton cleared 5-2 ¼ to take sixth in the high jump, while Shelby LaBuhn tied for seventh with a jump of 5-1 ¼.
